Dr. Chao performs the full spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He treats patients at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. This includes Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, which is ranked in the top 25 in the nation for cancer care.

He has specialty training in the technique of microsurgery where a patient’s own tissues can be used to reconstruct defects or deformities, or to treat complex conditions such as lymphedema and nerve pain.

Dr. Chao’s philosophy is that a patient’s form and function can only be fully restored through an individualized, multidisciplinary, and compassionate approach to patient care.
