Dr. Chao believes in the importance of training future doctors and surgeons. He serves as Program Director of the Microsurgery Fellowship, and teaching faculty of fellows, residents, and medical students at Ohio State University. He believes surgical training should merge apprenticeship with a data-driven approach toward measuring skill acquisition.
